Blessings of FCC Greenville!

Community Garden News

We are becoming an international garden with members from Colombia, Japan, Myanmar/Burma.  Check out the progress and feel free  to pull a few weeds to help our garden look neat.

Many Thanks to Latinos United for their help during Hands On Greenville work day on April 30 in the garden and grounds.

The irrigation system is very close to completion. Thanks to all who have worked so hard to accomplish this goal.

FCC Community Garden Party Saturday, April 16  9:30-Lunch

Planting Day and a fun picnic/BBQ will be on Saturday, April 16 beginning at 9:30 until lunch and will be on the smoker/grill  (hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers by Dan the Man); we may have some interesting Japanese dishes!!  So bring something to share and your work gloves. We will plant the Herb Garden; everyone can amend their soil and plant their garden beds. This will also be "Open Garden" day so invite your friends and any potential gardeners (also you garden alumni) to visit.

Check out our Facebook Page   FCCG Community Garden.

Thursday Night Live begins April 7!

Due to scheduling conflicts our spring Wednesday Night Live offering will be held on Thursdays. So we're calling it Thursday Night Live. Please plan to join us beginning April 7 for dinner at 5:30 followed by a time of reflection and visioning at 6:15.

Our visioning will include conversation regarding the book Small, Strong Congregations
which the Faith Perspectives Sunday School Class has been studying. If you haven't read the book you may borrow a copy from one of the members of the class and the church will be ordering a few copies for your use. Tom Faulkner and Laura Getty will facilitate our sessions. We'll meet for four weeks, ending April 28. A donation of $5/person is requested for dinner. Please sign-up in the Gathering Space so that we can prepare for meals adequately. Thanks and see you April 7

MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE: March 24 at 7:00p.m.

Our Maundy Thursday service will be less traditional this year as we recall the evening of Christ’s betrayal in an informal way. Rather than gathering in the Sanctuary, we’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is asked to bring a finger food to share with the group.

After a time of refreshment we’ll share in a dramatic reading of the Passion According to Mark. Our time together will conclude with Holy Communion. Please plan on being a part of this special evening. The service begins at 7:00pm on March 24.
